Meebits are the Strategy!
The last few weeks have been very interesting for both MeebCo and the wider NFT market. A new protocol launched by TokenWorks, called NFT Strategy, took the space by storm. MeebCo was drawn to its design and decided to lean in.
Here is how it works. Every time someone buys $MEEBSTR, the token linked to Meebits, the protocol takes a 10% fee. Eight percent of that is used to buy Meebits on the open market. One percent is directed toward $PUNKSTR, the base token of the protocol. The remaining one percent is sent to MeebCo as royalties. We have committed to recycling these royalties back into the system, using them to support the strategy by acquiring additional Meebits. This creates a self-reinforcing flywheel as the Ether collected is used to buy and burn $MEEBSTR. While Meebits are not a degen collection, we will always embrace innovation and give our community fun ways to participate.
Another major development came with the announcement of Larva Labs’ new project, Quine. This will be the 500th curated project on Art Blocks and will officially close the curated series. Just as important, it marks the return of Matt and John to the NFT space. Their involvement continues to be inspiring, and we are honored to count them as Strategic Advisors alongside Justin Aversano and Chikai, who bring expertise in art and technology.
With the combination of this advisory team and the momentum across the ecosystem, we are confident that the future is bright for both Meebits and MeebCo.

Hoodies Everywhere
This week we continue our survey of the Hoodies of the Meebits collection. Last week we covered one of the rarest and most coveted Shirts worn by Meebits: the Snoutz Hoodie, this week we start with the most common of all shirts in the whole collection: the ‘Hoodie’ with over 10% of the Meebits (2,107) sporting this attire. This is in addition to the 1,123 Female Human meebs who wear their equivalent, the Oversized Hoodie.
It may be common as muck, but there’s some diamonds in this dirt. There are only 10 of the collector favourite Posh colour - of which four have matching Posh Athletic Shorts for the full razzle-dazzle. Running a close second in brightness and rarity are the 17 Hoodies in Luxe, with the double Luxe #7870 being a chad of an aesthetic meeb. Or a prime example of Pyjama meeb, depending on your taste.
The crowd pleasing Blue Camo makes an appearance too and 19 of the 39 Blue Camo Hoodie meebs have matching pants with including 3447 an absolute unit of a meeb that would enhance any collection. Oh, and he’s still owned by MeebCo… so he could be yours for a very special upcycling bid.
The Hoodie is available in all colours except Leopard Print, which while an exclusively female colour is also not available in the Oversized Hoodie. Hoodie and Oversized Hoodie differ considerably in look: the Hoodie has a simple, plain front, whereas the female adds both a kangaroo pocket and draw strings for the Hood. These two features are found on the rarer Hoodie Up, whereas the Snoutz Hoodie is structurally the same as the Hoodie.
The Hoodie also has a quirk in look - the monoblock color versions, have a white pattern added to their front consisting of 2 crosses and 5 vertical lines. You can see an example in Red Hoodie #581 which features the design modification based on colour, a feature of the Hoodie which I believe is unique across the collection.
This highlights that no matter where you look in the Meebits, you’ll find extra touches to improve them. Another additional effort from the artists that almost no one notices, but that is just a part of the depth that makes Meebits so very special.

A: I’m a featured artist 2x with the Lakers and 1x with Major League Soccer. I’m currently a Longevity Biotech Fellow. Outside of work, I love going to music festivals, which is one reason my Meeb feels like such a perfect fit.
